Mashed-Upped

I like mash-ups. Plain and simple. Love them. I think they are just super. Super duper. Awesome almost all the time. Rad. So I figured this episode I’d just give you a sampling of a few classics and innovations that grace my  iPods and eardrums throughout the weeks. From L.A. to London, mash-ups have been a big deal for a long time and are, in my opinion, the audiotastic interpretation of the post-Modernist Pop world in which we—as immersive users of daily art—live and listen. So thusly, I totally collect and trade the suckers. They are like a Frankenstienian face-lift for my favorite jams from days gone by. They allow me to re-enjoy that one bit of that one song in a whole new way. Here are some great examples…
